Letter from Pastor Darrin
March 31, 2020
Greetings Church Family,
I hope you are staying healthy and doing your best to be encouraged even through all the closures, quarantines, and ever-changing news that has affected us all. No one is exempt, even churches. Since the state of Michigan has restricted everyone to stay at home through April 30, 2020 for the saftey of our congegation, we are not allowed to meet for our Sunday Worship Service. Therefore, with all of those restrictions in place, the board and I have made a decision together not to meet until the social distinstancing restrictions are in place. This will affect not only our Sunday worship but our midweek gatherings as well. Please take this time to pray for our church so that we can continue to be a light in our community. We want to build faith instead of fear because one thing is certain, God is still on the throne, He is still the King of Kings, and we are still HIS Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Even though we are doing church very differently, God wants to use the Body of Christ to seize this moment and rise up united as the church. This can be our finest hour, but we must stay connected in ways that are very different. Our Sunday Worship services will be streamed through Facebook Live along with videos for Kidz Rock. Stilettos will be interacting through Facebook Messenger. Please connect with the World Harvest Facebook page as well as our website at www.worldharvestaog.org for the updates and links. We will continue to keep everything current.
I also want to encourage everyone to intentionally stay connected with others in the church. This can be accomplished through a phone call, text, maybe even a handwritten note of encouragement especially for those who are homebound, restricted to the hospital or in a nursing/rehabilitation facility. With great obstacles comes great opportunities. Keep connected through our website and facebook for some ideas and opportunities to be a blessing and help in areas of great need at this time.
Also, please remain faithful with your tithes and offerings to the church. We still have bills to pay. We encourage you to give online through EasyTithe but if you are not comfortable setting that up, please mail your offerings to the church. World Harvest is still ministering as a church. We are here for you.
Erin and I love all of you,
Pastor Darrin Brown
